Adri van Velsen Tenor-saxophone Personal Biography Since the foundation he is a tenor-saxophone player of the Dutch Saxophone Quartet. He also plays in the Schönberg Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble and all Dutch Symphony Orchestras. He has been working together with Frank Groothof for ten years now; he received an Edison for the theatre-production “Odysseus”. Various Composers have written pieces for Van Velsen, like Klaas de Vries and Henk Alkema. He forms a duo with piano player Marianne Soeterbroek, dedicating himself to the repertoire for Tenor-Saxophone and Piano.
